| e' uscito il commento di Gary Glasberg sull' Insider blog CITAZIONE Although we’ve collaborated on six episodes with director Dennis Smith, it had been awhile, so it was a pleasure to re-team with him on “Defiance.” Dennis has directed more episodes of “NCIS” than any one else, and we’ve always enjoyed our time on set with him. He has a keen understanding of the show’s unique blend of humor and drama.
The episode required two days shooting on the Paramount backlot which “doubles” well for various neighborhoods of Washington D.C. It’s always a nostalgic pleasure for us, because Paramount TV put us together as a writing-producing team many years ago. Shooting the car crashing into the fire hydrant required several stunt performers. Among them was Sean Harmon, Mark’s oldest son. What’s more, visiting the set that day was legendary Paramount executive and producer, A.C. Lyles. The ninety-two-year old Hollywood icon reminded Mark that he was present at a party that was Mark’s parents’ (famed football player Tom Harmon and actress Elyse Knox) first date.
Having introduced the character of Timothy McGee in the first season episode, “Sub Rosa,” and giving him his first romance in the second season episode, “Witness,” we enjoyed extending his romantic life in “Defiance.”
Finally, it’s always rewarding to be able to have an episode make the public aware of worthy causes. In this case, Red Cross blood drives. Abby, as always, is the champion of such events.
