Mark Harmon, LL COOL J and Sean Hayes to Present at “I Have a Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles’ Dreamer Brunch on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Skirball Center

Patricia Heaton will Emcee the Event Honoring Eric & Kim Tannenbaum and Bela Bajaria

Los Angeles, CA – February 7, 2013: The “I Have a Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles (IHADLA) announced today that Mark Harmon (NCIS), LL COOL J (NCIS: Los Angeles) and Sean Hayes (Will & Grace, Smash) will be presenters at the 15th Annual Dreamer Brunch on Sunday, March 3, 2013. Television producers Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, and EVP, Universal Television, Bela Bajaria will be honored with Dream Keeper Awards. Patricia Heaton (The Middle) will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the Foundation’s premiere event to be held in the Ahmanson Ballroom at the Skirball Cultural Center. This year’s Dreamer Brunch celebrates the 25th Anniversary of IHADLA.

“These three presenters raise our event to a higher level,” said Executive Director Katy Garretson. “We are thrilled they will be in our show – and the kids will be so excited to see them on stage!”

Mark Harmon will present IHADLA’s Dream Keeper Award to the Tannenbaums, Sean Hayes will present the same award to Bajaria. LL COOL J will do a special presentation to the Foundation’s graduating high school students.

The Dream Keeper Award is given annually by IHADLA to those who inspire dreams and share in the mission and vision of the Foundation.

The “I Have a Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles helps children from underserved schools in impoverished communities have a better life and get a good education. The Foundation sponsors an entire grade at an inner-city, Title 1 elementary school, and stays with those students for over ten years, providing after-school and summer programs, academic and cultural enrichment, counseling services, arts instruction, mentors and tutors. Upon high school graduation, IHADLA then provides each Dreamer a scholarship for college or career training. The Dreamer graduating class of 2010 boasts a 94% high school graduation rate, and 96% of those are now in college or vocational school.

There are currently four active IHADLA program sites: third graders in Watts, sixth and seventh graders in Inglewood, and high school seniors in East Los Angeles.
