Mark Harmon is America's Favorite TV Star... Again

Mark Harmon has been a TV staple since the 1970s, and where other actors his age might be losing steam, Mark is still hot, hot, hot.

This week, American's voting in a new Harris Poll named Mark their favorite TV personality for the second year in a row. Harmon stars in NCIS as Special Agent Jethro Gibbs, a role he's had since the show began in 2003. With his handsome features and slow Southern charm (owing nothing to the fact that he was born in Burbank, California), it's no wonder he's a favorite! And speaking of Southern charm, when they broke it down by region, Harmon also came out on top as the fave star of the South.

Ellen DeGeneres moved up this year to take the number two spot. She was number one in the Midwest and the West. An even bigger surprise is John Stewart of The Daily Show. He dominated in the East and with college grads.

mark harmon,ncis,tvTalk show hosts filled out most of the list with Bill O'Reilly, David Letterman, Jay Leno, and Oprah all making the top ten.

The only other actors in the group are first-time list maker Jim Parsons from The Big Bang Theory and Hugh Laurie of House.

Blessedly, not a single reality star made the top ten. Also missing this year, Conan O'Brien, Charlie Sheen, and Steve Carrell who all made the list in 2010.
